Louise Monaghan – Group Financial Controller
Louise joined The Brennan & Co Group in 2018 as the Group HR and Finance Manager. At the time, the finance team consisted of five employees and has since grown to over ten. Following the successful placement of Elaine as Group HR Manager in 2019, Louise was appointed Group Financial Controller and has been involved in the development of the leadership team and divisional structures within the Group. Louise has developed a highly effective finance team & internal reporting procedures that can sustain our vision for continued growth and ensure the highest standard of output internally in supporting our ongoing strategic decisions.
Louise has been involved in significant milestones within The Brennan & Co Group including centralising the Brennan & Co NI accounting function, automating the Accounts Payable function in adherence to our Green policy and the acquisition of SVS Industrial Supplies Ltd, J.S Dobbs Ltd., ORS Systems Ltd. and IPP Ltd.
Louise completed her professional training with Grant Thornton and transferred to their internal Professional Standards team which was responsible for upholding and maintaining an effective system of quality control and providing technical assistance to the wider firm. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Finance and Accounting from Maynooth University and became a member of the ACA in 2016. Louise further completed her Irish Taxation Institute Taxation Diploma in 2021.
